October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and it’s time to show your support, for…..um…. a blue-footed seabird indigenous to the Galapagos Islands? No, no. It’s about the real boobies (or fake ones) that reside right there on your upper torso. Go ahead and look (you know you want to)!
Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, the hub and I headed off to SoWa, an awesome open market here in Boston, which you should totally check out if you’re ever in these parts – It’s a great place to scope (and buy) original art of all shapes & sizes from local artists and indie designers, all while scarfing down some of the best food truck food, ever made eva (Clover Food Lab, we quadruple-dog-heart you). It’s also were we met Boobies & Co.
THE DEETS
Boobies & Co is a t-shirt company, that makes awesome t-shirts while supporting two great causes – The World Wildlife Fund and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
They provide is a bunch of fun t-s that play off the habits of the blue-footed Boobie (who happen to put on a pretty hilarious dance show when they are ready to, ahem…do the deed). Our fave was this “Boobies are Birds Too” T-shirt. You can snag it here for $25 bucks – 10% of whateva you buy goes to wildlife & boobs. I love it.
INFORM, DETECT, SUPPORT
According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer in their lifetime. Please inform yourself, develop an early detection plan and show your support.
This post is dedicated in memory of my hubby’s mom, Annette Valentino.
