This post is sponsored in exchange for my honest opinion*
It’s the 11th day of the new year and I’m ready to rock it. Worked out bright and early this a.m. and have been enjoying lunches and dinners I meal prepped on Sunday (if anyone wants to virtually high-five me, I’m totally cool with that)!
I typically don’t make New Year’s resolutions, but this year I have like, 52 thousand of them. I know I’m not going to resolve everything…BUT, I wanted to set some personal goals to remind me to remember myself this year – ya know?
MY 2018 RESOLUTIONS
I’ve jotted down my top 3 resolutions below. I won’t bore you with the thousands of additional mini-resolutions I’ve made this year. But, I do chit-chat about them a bit in the video below, while unboxing the fabulous Winter Box of Style (which totally got me motivated for this post, p.s.).
Lose 30 pounds and Hydrate. This is my biggest resolution this year. And, I don’t take it lightly. Guys, I’ve packed it on over the last couple of years. My biggest problem is night time snacking. I think what happens is that I share EVERYTHING…errrrythang with my almost 4-year-old all day long. And, at night? I don’t have to share with anyone. So, I shovel that food in my mouth like it’s my last meal and wear leggings and big shirts to cover up the fruits of my labor (haha – “fruits” – that’s ironic). Anyway – I lost my fitness mojo, but this year I’m resolving to find it. Because when I do? I feel incredible. Oh, and also I need to drink more water.
Do nice things for myself. I don’t do enough for myself. I should, and I aspire to, but at the end of the day, I’m too tired to hit up a yoga class or go get my nails did. And, quite frankly, the last thing I want to do after fielding 1000 questions from my kid all day is field a thousand questions from a random stranger (have you ever had a masseuse that talks to you the WHOLE time? Well, I have, and I’ve got two words for you – Not. Awesome.). That said, I’m no quitter. So, this year I’m going to plan more field trips for myself – yoga class, regular mani / pedis and massages (I’ll probably have duct tape in my purse just in case).
Declutter + Downsize. I’m a constant organizer by trade, but this year I plan on getting to serious business up in here. I’m cleaning out closets and drawers and paperwork and everything in between. And, if it hasn’t been used in a year, it will not be used ever, or is a duplicate item? Boom – gone. I will sell some stuff and donate the rest.
