If you follow along, you know there is no shortage of amazing kids books in our house. We love to read which is why I’m borderline depressed we don’t have these two hip-hop inspired ABC and 123 books by The Little Homie.
My daughter (she’s four) loves hip hop music. She loves all music, to be fair – but we have a pretty sweet playlist on our iPads from our wedding a bazillion years ago, so she’s been blessed with the beats of Jay Z, N.E.R.D, and everyone in between.
I’m almost ashamed to admit we just realized we had to remove some of the songs because they were pretty explicit and this kid repeats everything she hears. Nonetheless, we like a good dance party and do it often.
This might be why I’m so OBSESSED with this A B to Jay-Z book. With pages like B is for Biggie Smalls and he loves it when you call him Big Poppa to O is for Outkast and they like to shake it like a Polaroid picture – I mean…it’s just perfection.
If you’re having alphabet problems I feel bad for you son. I’ve got 99 problems but my ABC’s aint one.
What I didn’t realize (until I started writing up this post) is that they also have a hip-hop inspired counting book called 123 with the Notorious B.I.G. This book is equally as awesome and, like A B to Jay-Z, blanketed with colorful and totally fun art to match the theme.
Grab yourself…I mean your favorite hip-hop lovin’ kiddo one of these books for $29.95 or both for $59 (here).
Ha-ha. Mom’s spaghetti. I can’t.
