Because I’m livin’ the sugar-free life like a rock star these days I’m posting more recipes and goodies that satisfy my insane sweet tooth while keeping me on the healthy track. Ice cream is super tough to get in sugar free form, so when I stumbled across this plant-based variety, I was super intrigued.
Wink Frozen Desserts makes ice cream reimagined. Their frozen delights are plant-based, sugar free, dairy free and low cal. I mean, you can eat an entire pint and its only 100 calories.
They sweeten their goodies with organic stevia and monk fruit which is great if you’re diabetic or just avoiding sugar all together. They claim to be keto friendly, but one of their ingredients is Agave Inulin which is on the question-mark list for keto eaters. Some people are super against it because technically it is a “sugar” (even though Wink calls it a “prebiotic fiber”). And, some keto peeps say it’s fine because the GI is so low. As a keto eater, I’m not sure where I sit with it yet, but I do love the idea of it for sure.
Wink is non-GMO and you can order them online right here ($8 bucks per pint). And, like most of the brands I share on this here bloggity blog, they are an organization that gives back a portion of their sales to Project AIR Guatemala (creating jobs, education and improving the community through reforestation).
I need to be eating ice cream now.
