When it comes to great outfits for kids, I usually lean to kids styling services that deliver to my doorstep. It’s not that I can’t put together a great outfit, it’s just that the styling services always provide choices I probably never would have thought of. And, it’s uber convenient to ask your kid to try on clothes in your home rather than in-store. Mama ain’t got time for dressing room shenanigans, people!

In case ya’ haven’t heard, Stitch Fix has jumped on the kid’s box train, providing adorable outfits for kids in “fix-format” just like Mama (and Dad too – Stitch Fix styles the whole fam now)!
We received one of their first rounds of deliveries and found a few loves. While we sent most of the box back, my daughter’s stylist (I can’t believe I just said that) picked a few dresses we just couldn’t part with.
This one’s going to be our first day of school outfit and only cost $26 bucks. Can you even?
The detailing on this Sophia & Zeke Maggie Crochet Shoulder Dress is killing me and so is the look on her face. Is this even my kid?
AFFORDABLE OUTFITS FOR KIDS
When I first heard Stitch Fix was dropping a kids line, I wasn’t sure how they’d provide name brand clothes (like Hanna Anderson and Kate Spade) at affordable prices for normal Moms like me.
I’m sorry, but I’m not trying to spend $50 bucks on an outfit for my four year old. I might as well take a crisp fifty dollar bill, stick it in a puddle of mud, spill breakfast, lunch, and dinner on it and then tear it to shreds.
But I don’t need to do that. Stitch Fix Kids prices are totally affordable! I’m not sure how they do it, but I hope they never, ever stop.
Here’s the second dress we kept:
I would NEVER have chosen this for her, but she fell head over heels over these adorable little boats sailing away in blue and once she put it on, I fell hard too.
This dress is the Leota Mackenzie Skater Dress ($30) and its a great, comfy fit for summer. Super stretchy and lightweight! Easy to hide those kid stains!
EVERYTHING ELSE WE GOT
The box came with all the paper extras you get in the grown-up version: A receipt outlining the costs of the items, a personal note from your kiddos stylist and a detailed overview of each item.
The stickers are basically all over my house now. I’m cool with it 🙂
Our fix came with 3 dresses, 4 tops, 3 pairs of leggings and a jean jacket. If we would have kept the entire box, I would have received a 25% discount – costing me just $130 bucks for all 10 pieces. That’s it. That’s $13 per item. Crazytown.
If you order a Stitch Fix Kids box, you’ll pay the $20 styling fee (just like your own fix) which will be applied to whatever you buy. And, if you’re like me and only find a couple of pieces you want to hang on to, you pay for those and send back whatever you’re not interested in.
Here’s everything we sent back (and the reasons why):
Flapdoodles Tori Applique Denim Jacket ($34). I just couldn’t with this jacket. My girl opened it up and was like…”meh”. So, it went right back in the box.
This Paperflower Faya Flutter Hem Graphic Tee ($16) fit her perfectly, but she said she didn’t want it and she’s the boss of me so it went back.
We already have items similar to this Persaya Gril Miley Tie Front Tee ($14) and Rumi & Ryder Leah Knit Leggings ($16) so they went back.
This Moon & Stars Claire T-Shirt Dress ($18) was SO soft, but it was way big on her and she opted to send it back. The leggings came as a pair from Capelli New York. The set cost $18 bucks and they were equally as soft – but we have 2 pairs almost identical so we said goodbye to them too.
Already have something similar to this Odin & Ivy Mikllie Graphic Tee ($14) so we returned it.
And, this Persaya Girl Aubrey Crochet Detail Tee ($14) was also kinda-sorta like something she had, so no sense keeping it.
HOW TO GET IT
You can schedule your kiddo’s first fix right here. You fill out a style profile (just like the grown-up version) and set the date you want your box delivered. Having received lots of my own fixes, I was super stoked about the kid’s version!
Adorable outfits for kids (at affordable prices) are hard to come by, so this box is a winner for me.
Let me know if you hook your favorite little with some new duds! I’m already stalking my mailman on baited breathe as I await sweet pea’s next fix.
Tootles!
