Winky Lux Flower Balm uses your PH to create the optimal lip shade

I am so very in love with all the custom beauty out there these days and right now I’m crushing on this lovely little lip balm, that is not only super pretty, but also creates a custom shade when applied (based upon your own body chemistry).  Winky Lux Flower Balm?  I heart you bad.

I stumbled across Winky Lux Flower Balm ($14) around the holidays last year and fell hard for this particular product (I haven’t tried anything else from Winky Lux, but I’m hot on the trail!).  I love the idea of beauty products that work for me in all the ways (doesn’t hurt any animals, high quality ingredients, etc)…and, I mean…how cool is it that you apply the lip balm and the shade you get is based upon what works best for YOUR lips.

I can see why it’s their most popular lip stain.  First of all, it arrives in the most glorious packaging (don’t you just want to climb into this box and escape all your parenting jobs?).

Secondly, there is an actual flower inside the product.  If I could throw sparkly confetti over your head right now, I would.

What I love most is that it legit works…and beautifully.  While I can’t attest to the actual science happening when it goes on my lips, I can attest to the fact that it goes on clear and turns my lips into the most pretty shade of pink.  I have a super hard time picking lip shades that work for me – I almost always gravitate towards shades that are too orange or too red, but I have to say I’m totally impressed with how much I love this color on my lips.  It really does feel like it’s customized to me.  How do they do that?

I’m totally trying their Unicorn Glimmer PH Balm ($14) next. This balm also reacts with skin’s pH levels to create just a hint of glimmer, leaving lips a perfect shade of subtle shimmering pink.  Yey!

Winky Lux products are cruelty-free and paraben free.  You get free shipping if you purchase $25 or more.  Oh, and if you have sensitive skin, they may be a great solution.  While everyone’s sensitive skin issues are different (hello Rosacea!), they do test their products on their founder (not animals) who has super sensitive skin according to the website.

Let me know if you grab a Flower Balm for yourself!
