We get a lot of packages and most of them are for me (insert sinister laugh here). My daughter gets super bummed every time I grab boxes from our doorstep, usually stomping and saying something like “I never get anything” (false, she gets plenty). Either way, I was stoked when this adorable kids book subscription arrived to our doorstep last week – oh, happy day for all!

FINALLY, A PACKAGE FOR HER!
Books are a huge part of our every day lives. We started reading to her, almost immediately and have continued enriching her lives with books of all shapes, sizes and generes.
She was amped to get a package all for her but elated to know the package included a bunch of new books to add to her collection. In my opinion, a kids book subscription is one of many magical ways to keep our littles jazzed about reading (haha. I said “jazzed”)!
I have been stalking Lillypost for a few years now and was thrilled to have the opportunity to explore their subscription in greater depth. Packages arrive with 3-4 books inside, each wrapped like a present for kids aged newborn to seven. You can pick and choose the type of subscription you’d like, either Board Book (great for age 0-3), Picture Book (perfect for age 4-7) or a mix of the two (great for families with kids of mixed ages).
- Monthly Fee: Subscriptions start at $24.90 per month (including shipping). You get a significant discount if you sign up for a 3, 6 or 12-month subscription
- Shipping: Subscriptions ship to US and Canada
- Awesome Give Back Program! Lillypost donates one new book for every box they ship, to a children’s literacy-based charity. Over 50k books donated so far!
- Coupon Code! Get 10% off your first subscription with this link – just use coupon code KIDDO10 when you check out!
- Gift Wrapping: If you want your books to arrive wrapped for a special occasion, you can pay an additional small fee. Isn’t this wrapping paper the cutest?
OUR BOOKS, UNWRAPPED
We received the picture book subscription and it arrived with three books we’ve never seen before (score!). We dove straight into Garcia & Colette Go Exploring the sweetest little story of two friends who want to explore but have very different ideas about the journey.
My daughter just turned 5 and is getting super stoked about the idea that she will be able to read to herself soon. She loves putting her fingers on the word and pretending she’s reading (and even brought her best friend MistyKitty along for the ride)!
The next book we read was I Don’t Want to Be a Frog. This book was super fun. We have been reading it on repeat this week – it’s about a frog who doesn’t want to be a frog. He walks around with his Dad (I think) and is reminded of all the reasons he doesn’t want to be someone else. The cutest!
The last book we’re adding to our collection is A Cooked-Up Fairy Tale – about William, who dreams to be a chef, taking us on an adventure with various well-known fairytale figures (like, the three bears, the gingerbread man, Cinderella & more). The book came at just the right time – we’re super into princesses and fairytales right now as we get ready to head to Disney!
Best news ever! Lillypost is giving one lucky kiddoandsoul reader the chance to receive not one, not two, but THREE MONTHS worth of books (valued at $90)!
